Summer is approaching and most of us are going to be doing some travelling at one point or another–places to go and things to see. Most of us Love to Travel! Yet, it’s important to stay healthy on are travels.
Airports and airplanes are known to harbor germs–with the thousands of people going back and forth each day. It’s best to take some simple precautions to stay nice and healthy during your travels. Here’s 5 Ways to Stay Healthy while travelling on a Airplane.
1. Vitamin C.
Vitamin C will boost your immune system to help your body combat any germs or viruses you may come in contact with while traveling on an airplane. I would start increasing my Vitamin C intake about 3 days prior to traveling.
I love these Uncle Matt packets.
2. Drink a lot of Water.
Staying hydrated and drinking a lot of water will help your body to flush out any toxins and viruses that may enter your body.
3. Hand Sanitizer.
Keep your hands clean and moisturized. Before you eat, drink or touch your face or body spray your hands with hand sanitizer.
I love these Clean Well easy carry spray hand sanitizer–all you need is 1 spray, fits perfectly in your carry on bag.
4. Ear Plugs.
The loud sounds and air pressure of the plane taking off, landing and in flight can cause your ear pain and discomfort. Use ear plugs to help protect your ears.
I always find chewing a piece of gum or eating a piece of candy in-flight and after landing helps to ease ease ear pressure and discomfort.
5. Stay Warm.
If you don’t like it cold (and your body doesn’t do well with cold air blowing down on you), you need to bring along a comfy sweater, shawl or a blanket. Airport and planes are cold to prevent germs and viruses from breeding.
I also like to bring a pair of inexpensive socks to keep my feet warm–that I throw away after my travel. Also, be sure to wash all “travel clothes” in warm/hot soapy water as soon as you arrive at your destination.
